These images were inspired by the 1930's era and the mens fashion during that time period. After watching a show called 'The Peaky Blinders' which is based on a true story about one of the most powerful gangs in Birmingham trying to keep their families safe whilst being very passionate about they're business, but getting involved in a lot of trouble and violence whilst doing so. I was very interested in what they would wear and how it gave them all a real sense of character, compared to if they were shooting the series in a more modern time period. In this shoot I wanted to make my model have a dirty, dark tone to his skin and clothing because I wanted to represent their hard work and the troubles men within this era had to go through. I used a younger teenager for this shoot because I specifically wanted others to realise how young the men were when starting to work and getting involved in violence and heartbreak, and the dangerous situations they were thrown in from such a young age.
